I wake up early and the fist thing I do is look out the window to see the weather condition.

I get ready and checkout the hotel, head down to the combini (Convenience Store) and catch a quick breakfast. I have a litle time before my train leaves so I head towards the bay as the weather gets a lot better.
I get to see the bridge a lot better.

Back to the station, it4s time for the green train , no more Shinkansen from this point north.

the train is almost full but confortable

As the train keeps moving north the weather gets worse, but the view is still really nice as the rail tracks follow the coast.

This train takes you under the ocean to reach the Hokkaido Island

As we I exit the tunnel on the Hokkaido side the weather has greatly improved again

I switch train in Hakkodate and then reach Sapporo close to 4 pm.
I take the subway and find my way to my hotel.
It's the most comfortable hotel in my japan trip.

I get to be on the 15th floor and get quite an impressive view from the window.

I head down for a nice walk on the main (outdoor shopping avenue) the streets are frozen, it is snowing heavily but people in Sapporo are used to that kind of weather it does not seem to bother them , some girls are even wearing skirts.

I like Sapporo a lot I think it is really a beautiful city. but as I walk I start to get really cold so I find refuge in an adjacent shopping alley.

I run into an arcade place called ...

I then make my ritual stop at book off, one of my hobbies is to make a visit in all book off stores I see, they sell second hand, mangas, video games and toys. What is also nice is that you can read mangas in store and since my Japanese is not good it takes me forever to read a few manga pages, but I still lvoe doing that. Besides it's cold outside and I need to warm up a little.

After another hour of walking in the streets I finally found the notorious ramen alley of Sapporo.

I get in the ramen shop which ramens seem the more appealing and get this!

After that nice Ramen I got back to the hotel where I carefully left my camera and went discovering Sapporo's nightlife  But I wont make any posts about that part, what happens in Sapporo stays in Sapporo.

Oh ! Here's the music I had in my head all day today since I heard it last night.
I tought I should share it with you.
I'm a hokkaido man ! Ho hokkaido! Hokkaidoo oh ooo ooohh.

They have some really nice bars in Sapporo.
